Light, as a beauty ritual.
Laser hair removal, soft.
On a quiet upper floor with the Mar Caribe in the distance, our spa boutique side of the clinic is dedicated to one thing: long-duration laser hair removal that feels like a wellness pause rather than a procedure. Cold-tip Diode for the body, Quartz IPL for delicate face zones, paired with the slow choreography we usually reserve for a facial. You arrive, you breathe, you leave luminous.

A wellness pause, not a clinic visit.
Beauty ritual, not waiting room.
Laser hair removal does not have to feel medical. Across the corridor from our injectables suite, we keep a softer space — dim warm light, terracotta linens, low ambient sound, a glass of cold hibiscus water on arrival. This is where we run the long-duration epilation series and the gentlest light rejuvenation rituals — the kind you can step out of and straight onto Quinta Avenida or back into a beach club without missing a beat.
Everything here is designed for the traveler-patient on a wellness week. The session length is generous on purpose. There is no rushed turnaround, no cold tile underfoot. The technologies we keep on this side of the clinic are the gentler ones — high-frequency Quartz IPL and cold-tip Diode — because for hair-removal and a luminous-skin finish, gentleness is what works.
Two soft technologies, calibrated for skin in vacation mode.
We deliberately stay away from ablative devices in the spa boutique room. The harsher resurfacing protocols live across the hall in the medical suite. Here, we focus on what the body tolerates beautifully in summer heat: cold-tip Diode at high repetition rate and Quartz IPL with adjustable spectral filters.
A continuous sapphire tip cools the skin to 4 °C while the diode beam reaches the hair follicle. The sensation is closer to a chilled press than a snap. Used for legs, underarms, bikini, back, chest — and safe on the deeper skin tones common on the Riviera Maya.
Quartz lamp IPL with swappable spectral filters — one for fine facial hair (upper lip, chin, sideburn fuzz), one for diffuse pigment and dull tone. Many guests book the IPL as a single 'light facial' the morning before a dinner.
A featherweight carbon mist passed under low-fluence light. We add it to most face packages as a finishing step — the skin reads as polished without makeup. Zero downtime, you walk back into the sun (with mineral SPF, please).
The slow choreography of a light ritual.
Twelve minutes with our laser therapist — skin type, sun exposure plan for the week, recent products. A patch test is taken if you are a first-time guest. You change into a robe; phone goes face-down in a leather tray.
Twenty to forty minutes depending on the zone. Cold-tip Diode for the body, Quartz IPL for the face. We narrate as we go, you breathe along to a slow Caribe playlist. Nothing about this is rushed.
A cooling chamomile gel layer, mineral SPF, and a five-minute scalp massage included with every body session. We hand you a printed after-care card in your language and a small linen pouch with mineral sunscreen for the rest of the day.
We sequence sessions around your beach plan — the protocol asks for no direct sun on the treated zone for 24 h, so we schedule sessions either on a late-afternoon or before a relaxed indoor evening. Concierge coordinates with your hotel.
The zones travelers book most, on a Caribbean week.
Six sessions, four to six weeks apart, is the standard course for long-duration hair removal. We offer single-session pricing for trial and package pricing for the full course. Single sessions are USD; the full-course package gives roughly 20% saving.

What this room does — and what it doesn't.
The spa boutique side is on purpose narrower than the medical suite. There are things we will not do here, and we want to be clear about them up front.
- Long-duration hair removal on all body zones — including darker skin tones, with the cold-tip Diode.
- Gentle IPL pigment and tone rituals on the face — sun spots, dull tone, fine fuzz, post-summer dullness.
- Soft Hollywood gloss carbon mist as a finishing touch — no downtime, immediate luminosity.
- We do NOT run ablative CO₂ fractional resurfacing here — that lives in the medical suite (see also below).
- We do NOT treat melasma, acne scarring or deeper pigmentary disorders here — those require Dr. Palermo's medical protocols across the corridor.
The medical laser suite (CO₂ fractional resurfacing, acne scarring, deep pigmentary work, tattoo removal) is run by Dr. Palermo across the corridor.
A light ritual, on the day that suits your week.
Tell us your arrival date and which zones interest you — we'll suggest a session sequence that fits around your beach plans. First consult is twelve minutes, by video before you fly or in person on arrival.
